vocalists gathering

before i start recalling my day...
here's food for thoughts

look at the hersheys. only the $1 hershey is sold out. the $1.50 hersheys were left untouched like some pariahs.

"those who buy must be Chinese" says shawnrick.
intelligent answer. i don't think matz will invest in chocolate. they cant afford this kind of things.
they'll be like..
"$1? cheap sial, eh friend, can lend me $1?"

and after acquisition of the chocolate bar, all of the mat's 50,000 friends will approach and ask
"eh gimme some ah. nice sia"

bahh, im deviating in my thoughts. but its true. its mat talk.

lookey here, we were lost.
so off i went to Bedok to meet trep and shawn. it was my first 401 bus ride. so yeah. the joy was there. a maiden journey.

coming early was good. cos we were apprectiated as we helped to set fire.
the lasagne was good stuff. tastes like homecooked. the last time i had lasagne was like 8 years ago. yes its that long. grrr.

the vocalists gathering was fun(for the rest).

i thought i would be having fun but i wasnt really feeling it.
why?

cos i know it all. damn, i dont mean to sound arrogant but i've been through so many vocal trainings and this one was like a recap. and i dont like sitting through lessons that i already know after training for 7 years.

things like

vibratto, arpeggio, stacatto, crescendo, decrescendo, warm ups and stuff.
sounds foreign to you?

but its kinda disturbing for me cos the one who gave the talk didnt believe in warm ups and she believe that sleeping is a good warm up before a gig.
hell no. thats suicide.

but i cant blame her for her genre was metal.
we cant do that for a cappella and r&b

bah, and they think singing infront of a crowd is hard. try singing to the judges at Gangstarz then. and try singing a cappella.
its the simplest form of singing where you can detect who goes off key/beat.

it got really dry at the theory segment. elsewhere on this earth, someone else was feeling bored and wanting to run away. that person had to helpout at a wedding. bahh, i hate that too. apparently, she enjoys cutting meat. so yeah, good for you mufujifi! you'll make it through. though it is boring. bahhhhh"

also, sai was left to celebrate his birthday alone. tsk tsk. so many bored people. happy birthday!

anyway,
the vocalists were amazed at harmony.

see, when people jam, they just wanna show off their solo vocals. and when everyone knows that certain song, they all wanna take the lead. so it becomes more of noise.

but i did it differently. i believe in harmony. if they sing it on A, i'll just sing in another key to provide that sweet harmony and variation.

"nice" qhai said.

bahh, shawnrick stole my limelight.

"i have never met people who really do a cappella" mike said"

thats cos its so hard to do. so not many will take on that challenge.

during the makan period, we were kinda divided
old classic rock and chinese one side,
malay rockers one side

me and trep in the middle. only me and trep were r&b/hip hop people.

"wanna listen to the song my band made?" the host asked holding up her psp
shawn took it but played game instead.

the host didnt look too please.
5minutes later, she was like
"dont play la"

but shawn had the headphones on.

bahh, was she disappointed.
wheres the EQ? emotional quotient that is..

the day ended sweet. hell yeah for TV mobile. how dare you show Just For Laughs at night.
i kinda chuckled to it but it didnt feel awkward as the whole bunch of 5 other people were laughin out loud in the bus. so i just joined in the fun and laughed.

thanks to my bus instinct, i managed to board the last 985 of the day. it was supposed to depart at 1130. but it was stil there at 1135.

without looking left or right, i dashed across the 4 lane road. im alive so im fine.

sure.
