DAF

here's new yesterday in the bus forum. the pic is not mine by the way. happened right at Bukit Batok Central. Service 173 TIB 795Y. the usual fleet of Mercedes 0405 Hispano CAC (converted air-con) i'm expectin' this bus to have a new front and eds in a few months time. :) now now, 173 has got itself into a few major accidents before. ones that i recall would be one that hit a pedestrian at Lorong Kismis. i remembered that newspaper article. the victim laid on the road. it was all thick, red and bloody. and another major one would be when TIB 700X ate up one whole alighting berth at the old Clementi Bus Interchange. that particular DAF bus lost her face. being rare and all, they resorted to using the Mercedes Hispano front to piece her up instead. and now, this rare frankenstein had had a few changes to herself, a new orange EDS, a new interior and a new set of wheels. what the 1996 DAF alexander setanta s220 should look like here's the 1994 Mercedes hispano 0405 post op

imagined you

"and everytime you walked me by, i stay my tongue was glib but it just disappeared and i know if i dont, i can't leave you alone i just gotta let you know how i'd be so i just close my eyes and pray that you ever thought of me that way, can't look at you so i just close my eyes and i imagine you ever........" -deepmuziq

scalin' everest

Image
did i ever tell you how powerful the ford everest is in the outfield? now i half love the everest that the army have. simply cos of its known reason. the 50km/h sticker. yes. a powerful beast but limited to 50. and that is why, i'd have to say, the road-suited ford focus is the best vehicle to drive on the road. "this is my favourite part of the day. no pressure. sitting in the vehicle, enjoying the aircon, listening to music" dr zhang spoke as i drove. "YUP!" i replied with a smile. made me glad that i was part of his joyful experience. and this new civilian version of the everest looks awesome!

universally

its amazing. i have yet to ord but i'd already planned on what i wanna spend on with my first paycheck when i start working. it's probably gonna be some temporary driving job while i ponder on the chances of me wanting to get into a university. :)

gunpla

don't know 'bout u but, i get orgasms when watching videos of people painting their gundam kits. i even get the tingle when i watch toy reviews. the voices of the collector and the slight wiggle of the perfectly still handycam. burr. on the topic of gundam, a friend asked me about it. she suddenly got interested in starting a humble collection. and now im hoping gar gar's interested in'em too. so yes. a gundam outing one day soon. when we've got enough cash. hmmm... i'll be safe if i'd have above 100. though not so safe after all. try 2o0 dollars first.

i feel you walk beside me

hoodie's got a sequel. "Speedin" and speedin shall be my January's top played song in the weeks to come. currently on top of my list is westlife's "I'll See You Again" this song is epic. it's like remember how Vitamin C's song "Friends Forever" became an anthem for graduating students? this Westlife track would be a great anthem/soundtrack for those who had just encountered a loss of a loved one. a song about the dearly departed. "you're gone now, gone but not forgotten, i can't say this to your face, but i know you'll hear" -westlife more later...

once i start, i can't stop. now, there's this complete set of these marionette dolls that i'd been eyeing all these while. for the past 3 years, they stood lonesome in their boxes at the window display of the shop. with no one to stop and stare at'em except for me and deane. *NSYNC marionette dolls :) Justin Timberlake, Joey Fatone, JC Chasez Chris Kirkpatrick, Lance Bass maybe this year would be a good year. a good year for them and me and deane. i gotta get'em all.

jazz and what the farque?

Image
prior to 2004, i wasn't really into that thing called jazz. i'd always found it hard to appreciate despite it's similarities in most music. not forgetting that jazz was the pioneer of all the current trend of music. michael buble did instil some interest in me towards jazz but it was westlife that did the trick. in 2004 when Brian McFadden left the group [thank god for that] westlife did a themed album. a Rat Pack tribute kinda album. it was Simon Cowell who stirred that idea and finally poured it into a cup. and that's how their 2004 release came about. "Allow Us To Be Frank" [the international version] when i got to know of this new album via Channel 5, i was like "WTF? jazz?" but me being a westlife fan bought the album religiously and listened to all the songs. memorising them all by heart. i'd even put on my blazer and sing along to the song. just to feel 'jazzy' like rat pack/frank sinatra. and then i proceeded to purchase Michael B

so naz bought his Venom today. rather small and pricey but worth it i must say. and this shot of his shows you how buffed venom really is compared to the anorexic spidey. venom even has 10 packs and a huge package down there. beat that spidey. and i suddenly love action figures and dolls. :)

move over megazords

Image
i bet you'd already know, or you might have forgotten. that i was/am an *NSYNC fan. and it ain't suprising that one of these marionette dolls [especially JC] would one day fall in my hands. and there you go. the beginning of a collection. the beginning of my great obsession for my pioneer music heroes. my first 6.5 inch marionette doll. yes, with strings attached. and i'm not the only one who was tempted to get these marionette dolls. deane's getting the 10 inch JC doll next saturday. mine is just the 6.5 inch. but its' ok, after i clear my $159 debt for the 2 Hong Kong buses and 1 London bus stop model, i am confident that i could indulge myself in spending a hundred bucks for the whole *Nsync marionette dolls. and JC's standing among my megazords now. "if you share with me, and then i'll find you and i'll meet you there, down in nowhere down in nowhere.. i lose myself yeah..." -jc chasez

focusing in on the ford

Image
as i drove around singapore, i realised how speed can get the best of me. the only major thing i remembered about today's trip was at PIE (towards Changi) after Pasir Laba Flyover. i was on lane 4 getting in preparation to exiting the e'way. ahead of me was a motorbike and infront of the rider was a slow moving truck. (slow to me of course) ford focus it was 1700hours. the traffic was heavy. the rider infront wasn't travelling in the centre of the lane. in fact, he was on the white road shoulder marking. i so wanted to overtake him. but by doing so, i would have to edge out a bit into lane 3 and by doing so, i could have nearly got hit by the heavy vehicles. i was alone in the car. 987fm was blasting out loud, air con blowing cool air, the drizzle affecting my view. and i was chanting out loud 'i don't wanna kill you, i don't wanna kill you' next thing i knew, i had entered the deceleration lane of the e'way. and soon i was out of the meddlesome traffic.

Zuhairi, Adam, Izzat, Gino. if you noticed our hands, we all were holding on tightly/loosely to our new phones [Pixon, Iphone, BB]. the ones that we claim we didnt try to bring in to camp. all except zuhairi of course. he claims to be not so into digital extravagance. but his digital camera that shot this pic spoke otherwise. despite the joy and laughter i brought to the table. there was something bothering me inside my head. oh yeah, we were at Popeye's (as if you don't already know) celebrating Zat Hardy's belated birthday. _____________ in the back of my head, i was wondering where on earth was my dad? he didnt pick up his calls. didnt reply to my sis's sms. didnt get home for nearly 2 days and not informing us where he's been. the last thing i knew from my mom was that he claimed to be jogging. but his motorcycle ain't there in the lot as well. so let's just say i was prepared for the worst. but then again, i didnt let go of any hope that dad's alrig

2010 indeed. if i could recall correctly, then this would be my first nights out on the eve of new year? i gotta go check back my post. bahh. anyway, on the last day of 2009, err'one in my unit basically were not there in camp. except for me and a couple of guys doing duty. grr. so anyway, got up at 0628, drove to safti at 0636 and reached back camp way before 7. duty ended bla bla, went to west coast recreation centre for some bowling with the rest of my campmates. or should i say entire. and so i reached home, and received a call from Roshah (who was ORD-ing on 31st Dec 2009). we had already planned for a dinner outing to celebrate his end of service. after serving for 3 years that is. so there we were, the only plan we had in mind was "Bugis, meet at Bt Gombak at 8pm" at 2000hrs, we were at Bukit Gombak MRT. we only got to move of at around 2050hours when Roshah finally reached. anyway, he's gonna be movin in to Madeira at BG in like Feb, so we gonn' be homies
