25th June. 6am. i was doing area cleaning in my bunk. thats when i heard the tv next door about the death of a star. i ignored it. thinking it could be just a small star. and then moments passed and then i heard Michael Jackson's name. i ran out from my room to the neighbouring bunk with the tv that was on. there it was. i froze. stunned. taken aback. i had to share the news. so i think some of you received my sms while you all were asleep. ____________ i grew up to MJ. there was a period of time when i watched "Moonwalker" at least thrice a day when i was 3. i wanted to be like him. Active, lose and carefree on stage. if you wanted me to cite my fave MJ song. it wouldnt be the mainstream Beat It or Billie Jean or Thriller or Smooth Criminal. it would be Human Nature. if they say 'why?', 'why?', you tell'em that its human nature i dont usually care when a star dies. but MJ's departure affected me most...

when my thoughts wander too much... and you should know that i'm a bad lover. but i so love my toys, buses, riding lessons, driving military vehicles, smoking, subway... and freedom.

the year 2008 was farqued up. but i wouldnt even think of saying the same for 2009. 2009 would be the year that 'drove' me. January '09 marked the start of my Class 3 lessons. February '09 marked the start of Class 4. June '09 marked the start of my Class 2B. and for all those, i choose to believe that it is paid for. lets just say, i am very fortunate. 1520 out of 7000. around 5500 more kilometres to civilian license. and no fair, civi license is more easier to get. you dont even have to worry about exceeding 50km/h and you dont even navigate through the rough and high angled terrains in the jungle. gahh... but mine's free. :) _________________ and and. i went for my Recce Jeep orientation yesterday. and now thats one vehicle that i dont mind goin' at 50km/h. it was really open and naked. no windscreen. thus, army helmet and shades had to be worn. it was nice to see the public stare and wave at us. to have a teen sayin 'Hi!' while she was at the bus

"today we have a new transport sup. he'll be joining us" and then the round of applause and cheers from the drivers during the Routine Order. the joy of being welcomed. it reminded me of when how we used to cheer when a new commander joined my company in BMT. oh what joy. _______ and to know that the previous supervisor that just ORDed clocked 10,000km is a PLUS. license! yay. i just need 7,oookm. oh what joy.

some are more than 10 years old and are showing signs of wear. [photo not found] and and, as said, i am so gonna hate the Botanical Gardens Interchange Station on the Circle line... reason being, it was supposed to be called Adam station.... and then LTA 'had' to do a public voting... grrr... other name changes along the Circle Line are Chip Bee Station > Holland Village Station Upper Macpherson Station > Tai Seng Station Museum Station > Bras Basah Station Old Airport Road Station > Dakota Station

after staring at the poster for a long time, only then i realised...
