la noche para recordar

KEEP STILL THERE!

good morning readers...
permission to carry on readers...

thank you readers.

AT EASE!

____________________

we were route marching along Tekong Highway.
donned in our long 4, LBV jacket, and our field pack that's about 18kg+/-
i had double layer of socks and handiplasts on to prevent potential blisters.

but.
there was more to that.
i started getting abrasions at around the 7km mark.
it was burning. 'burning my balls' as we'd say it.

so at the 10km mark, i told my buddy, dominic.
"dom, i wanna cry already. can i fall out now?"

he looked me in the eyes with slight pity and that 'ouh, i am tired as well but i have to motivate you' kinda look.
"no adam, we're almost there"

i felt the first tear in my eye. so much for being a soldier but my balls were really burnin' up i tell you.

and upon reaching our company line, i was the first in my platoon to run and fall in.
talk about desperation.
so there it was, our 3.5 hours of route march.

next week would be our 16km
and the week after would be the all-time anticipated 24km.
double your pleasure, double your fun.

indeed, la noche para recordar
