déjà vu
im rushing this post cos i'd had this sense of déjà vu coming over me.
i remember having this dream months back.
i dreamt i was replying to a tag on my tagboard.
while typing, i was staring at the picture i just posted.
i woke up and was wondering why i posted an old hillgrove pic in my dream.
so now i know why.

a bus fan made that and posted it online....
funny cos usually my déjà vu are bus related. not things like these.
oh well. guess what, tomorrow i'll have to book in.
but this time, guess i wont get to bump into my neighbour. miss you bro.

yeah right. i love seeing double deckers serving 185. especially this Leyland Olympian here.
185 was my childhood bus of course. was one of those daily buses i took as a kid. wow.
in the late 80s and early 90s, when i was already born, service 185 used to travelled from
Choa Chu Kang - Shenton Way.
in 1993, the latter was amended loop at Beauty World.
Choa Chu Kang - Jln Anak Bukit (loop)
in 1999, SBS handed over the operation of svc 185 to TIBS.

in 2002, 185 merged with the new svc 989. Service 989 plied from Choa Chu Kang to Changi Airport and she was only 21 months old. the resultant of the merger was service 985.
instead of following 989's route to Changi Airport, the new route was shortened to Geylang Lor 1
in 2007, SBS Transit re-used the number 185 for a new service. the service was introduced as a result of the Jurong West GRC's MP's request. the MP and SBS Transit worked close in hand to come up with the perfect route for the residents of Jurong West. thus, the birth of the new 185, (Soon Lee Depot - Buona Vista), and with no boarding/alighting at both Soon Lee Depot and Buona Vista bus terminal.
