flu tail
amazingly, just like the tekong flu, i am still down and out even after almost 2 weeks staying in. and i know, it aint just the normal type of flu- one where you get a temperature and you feel weak. this particular ailment gives you temperature no more than 37.4 degrees. it just gives you a blocked nose and a block ear, where air pressure gets stucked in the canal and the only way to release the tightness is by pinching your nose and blow the air out through the ear canal.
flu remedy and panadol cold relief never seem to accomplish their tasks whenever it comes to these type of sickness, how convenient.
but the sickness does not stop me from driving. under the hot weather where there's no a/c in the land rover, i managed to survive and drive us at a good speed.
"its only 4pm (1hour had passed) and we covered 40k already. plus another 8 to get back." my instructor said, looking at me while taking a puff off his cigarette
i looked up at him and nodded, i could have sworn i'd made a grunt that sounded as if i agreed wholeheartedly to what he just said. i was sitting on the kerb facing the rover. traffic was none. it was a road that led to nowhere in particular, or should i say, no one would be interested to drive through that road.
he was looking away when he continued where he stopped, "...cos the driver drive so fast. i don't know what's the hurry. maybe cos he's getting a cold, huh, is it? speedy gonzales are you"
i gave a half smile, it was as much effort as i could muster.
and there it was, a temporary slanted smile on my face, to represent the gladness i felt from deep within.
and yes. don't you ever ponder as to why other L plate learning drivers from civilian driving centres drive so slowly? it is like as though their vehicle could never manage the pressure of travelling on the 4th and the 5th gear. really sad. but you can't compare that slow sluggish speed with how we drive. we do it fast and we do it good. only the major drawback, the one we all hate, would be the device that is just placed near the dashboard. one that monitors the speed of the vehicle you're driving. [trust me, no one wants to speed and get into trouble or face the court of law.] (i actually typed that last sentence while dozing off. and the fact that it really counters what i just said in the paragraph. this what happens when you type or write after taking some drowsy medication.)
amazing. im so dizzy right now, the room seems to be darker and my eyes are getting harder to manage. the weight of each lid is taking its toll on me. the burden.
